Over the past 5 years I have entertained the idea of the holographic universe, the concept at first was hard to wrap my head around, however as my ‘understanding’ of the nature of this reality and of the emerging theories, I really started to play with the idea consciousness plays as much a role on the internal as the external, which could have profound implications on not just our reality but, our own physical well being and what it means to be human!
The Holographic Nature of Reality
The concept of a holographic universe, first proposed by physicist David Bohm and neuroscientist Karl Pribram, suggests that our reality might function like a hologram, where each part contains information about the whole. This theory has gained traction in theoretical physics, with Leonard Susskind and Gerard ‘t Hooft’s holographic principle suggesting that the information in our three-dimensional reality might be encoded on a two-dimensional surface.
As a side note, if this sounds like something you want to read more about, I can HIGHLY recommend the following book (it took me 2 goes to really understand what was being said)

But what does this mean for our consciousness and evolution?
The Body Electric: More Than Just Matter
Our bodies are not just physical entities but complex electromagnetic systems. The heart generates the body’s largest electromagnetic field, measurable several feet from the body. This understanding opens up fascinating possibilities about our ability to influence our physical reality through consciousness.
The implications are profound:
- Our subconscious thoughts might originate from higher dimensions or what some call ‘source consciousness’
- By mastering our subconscious mind, we could potentially break free from negative thought patterns and limiting cycles
- Our vibrational and electrical nature suggests we could consciously influence our cellular health and biological processes
It is the last of these that I find most compelling, we know scientifically that our cells do communicate through bioelectrical signals, and our nervous system operates through electrical impulses.
If we consider the potential of conscious/subconscious influence on these systems, there are several documented phenomena worth considering:
The placebo effect demonstrates the mind’s remarkable ability to trigger physiological changes through belief alone. Studies have shown measurable changes in brain chemistry, immune response, and even gene expression through placebo responses.
Meditation research has shown concrete biological effects:
- Reduced inflammation markers
- Changes in gene expression related to stress response
- Increased telomerase activity (related to cellular aging)
- Altered brain structure and connectivity
- Changes in immune system functioning
The potential implications could extend to:
- Cellular regeneration – If consciousness can influence cellular behaviour, it might affect healing rates and tissue repair
- Immune system function – Enhanced ability to fight disease through directed consciousness, though I have a thought on the ‘immune system’ out side this post.
- Biological aging processes – Potential influence over cellular aging mechanisms
- Neuroplasticity – Accelerated ability to form new neural pathways
- Hormonal regulation – Better control over endocrine system function
If consciousness operates at a quantum level, as some theories suggest, this could provide a mechanism for mind-body interaction at the deepest physical level.
DNA: A Quantum Antenna
Perhaps most intriguingly, recent research into quantum biology suggests our DNA might function as a quantum antenna, capable of receiving and transmitting information through quantum fields. While we currently recognise two-strand DNA, theoretical models suggest the possibility of expanding to 12-strand DNA through quantum evolution.
This expansion could manifest through:
- Quantum entanglement with cosmic frequencies
- Collective consciousness reaching critical mass
- Built-in evolutionary triggers responding to cosmic timing
- Vibrational upgrades affecting DNA structure
The Evolution of Human Consciousness
Bruce Lipton’s research into epigenetics and cell biology supports the idea that consciousness can influence our biology. Meanwhile, Nassim Haramein’s work on unified field theory provides a theoretical framework for understanding how consciousness might interface with the quantum field.
Practical Implications
This understanding has practical implications for personal development:
- The importance of managing our vibrational state
- The role of fear in limiting our evolution
- The power of collective consciousness in triggering change
- The potential for accelerated healing and regeneration
A thought experiment
Much like Einsteins thought experiments, the more i learn about the field of quantum entanglement with human biology and our own vibrational/electrical bodies the more I consider the impact our on thoughts can have on our physical being, or to quote Plato
